Joyce Ligi Retires
from Fairfield County Bank;
Sue Manning Promoted to Senior Vice President

Joyce Ligi has retired from Ridgefield Bank, a division of Fairfield
County Bank, where she has served as Senior Vice President of
Business Development and Community Relations. The Bank recently held
a retirement party honoring Mrs. Ligi on her numerous contributions
to the Bank and service to the community. “Joyce has been a
tremendous asset to the Bank in developing relationships with
various businesses in the community and in directing the community
relations activities for the Bank. We are pleased that she will
continue to work for the Bank part-time as Senior Vice President of
Community Relations,” stated Gary Smith, President and CEO of
Fairfield County Bank. Mrs. Ligi joined Ridgefield Bank in January
1996 after lengthy service with the former Union Trust Co. Her
extensive community involvement includes serving on Boards of
Directors, Finance Committees, Advisory Boards and as a member of
numerous organizations including the Town of Ridgefield 300th
Anniversary Committee, Danbury Health Systems, Ridgefield Symphony
Orchestra Endowment, United Way of Northern Fairfield County, Keeler
Tavern Endowment Trust, Hanahoe Clinic, Wadsworth R. Lewis Trust
Fund, Ridgefield Meals on Wheels, Visiting Nurse Association (VNA),
Ridgefield Playhouse, Ridgefield Senior Center, Ridgefield Lions
Club, Ridgefield Family Fourth Committee and Friends of the
Ridgefield Library. Mrs. Ligi has been honored by several
organizations for her hard work and dedication. A graduate of The
New England School of Banking at Williams College Management School,
Mrs. Ligi is a long-time resident of Ridgefield.

Sue Manning
has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Business Development
and Customer Relations for the Ridgefield/Wilton area at Ridgefield
Bank, a division of Fairfield County Bank. Ms. Manning, who is
located at the Bank’s Main Office at 150 Danbury Road, is
responsible for the acquisition and retention of key commercial
accounts. In addition, she serves as a liaison to local
municipalities for business development. Ms. Manning joined the
Bank in January 1998 after having served as First Selectman for the
Town of Ridgefield from 1987 to 1997. A long-time resident of
Ridgefield, she is involved in numerous community organizations
which include serving as a member and in board or advisory positions
for such organizations as the Ridgefield VNA, Ridgefield Chamber of
Commerce, Ridgefield Rotary Club, Ridgefield Theater Barn,
Ridgefield Republican Committee, Ridgefield Community Foundation,
Ridgefield Business Development Exchange, Friends of the Ridgefield
Library, Ridgefield Family Fourth Committee, Senior Initiative
Forum, United Way, and Danbury Hospital. She is also the chairman of
the Town of Ridgefield 300th Anniversary Committee. Ms.
Manning has been honored by the Ridgefield Jaycees and Ridgefield
Rotary Club as Citizen of the Year and by the Ridgefield Chamber of
Commerce as Volunteer of the Year. She is a graduate of DePauw
University. |
