Stephen P. Nitz Joins Fairfield County Bank’s Financial Services Group

June 26, 2007 - Stephen P. Nitz has joined Fairfield County Bank’s Financial Services Group, Fairfield County Financial Services, as Vice President, Financial Sales Manager.  Mr. Nitz is responsible for the Norwalk/Darien market area and contiguous markets.  He is a veteran financial services industry marketer who has spent the last 19 years of his career focusing on the bank channel.  Prior to joining Fairfield County Bank, Mr. Nitz spent six years in Relationship Management roles with both Genworth Financial and The Hartford.  His responsibilities included sales management of a wide variety of investment and insurance products to bank broker-dealers throughout the Northeast.  From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Nitz was Executive Vice President of Infinex Financial Group where he focused on new business development.  He was with Nationwide Financial Services from 1996 to 1999 as a Regional Vice President responsible for all product sales in the Southeast while based in Charlotte, NC.  Earlier in his career, Mr. Nitz held sales and sales management positions with Compulife Investor Services and Landmark Financial Services.  He holds a BS in Finance from Indiana University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from DePaul University.  Mr. Nitz holds NASD Licenses for Series 7, 24, 53 and 63.  He also earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 1995, and holds a Connecticut Life and Health insurance license.
